Our field crew’s assistant of photography used to be a bad boy in his youth. His name is Bob. A couple of days ago, he told us the story of his teenage years, when he was part of a gang. One of his stories that inspired us, is the one when he sprayed a graffiti on the wall of his high school with his gang. “We wrote Gangsta”, said Bob, with his cool mimic. Well, that story is at the base of today’s post.
Todd Miller from Ziegler Build team designed this magnificent modern container home. This trendy residence shocked some of Australia’s designers because it uses thirty one shipping containers in its construction. This container home is set on 706 sq. meters in Graceville, a quiet and calm residential district in Brisbane, Queensland, the land of Kangaroo. This unconventional model home evokes the feeling of a perpetual vacation with its street touch. The house sprawls over 3 floors and it’s layered with different graffiti designs and a powerful brine pool.
The entire design revolves around the transition between the interior and exterior, as highlighted by the various outdoor areas featured on every level. Seamless and cozy living areas span across the primary floor that merges along with no interruption. This great modern container home is smartly designed to include fascinating angles, indulging soaring voids and creative options.
The plenteous living areas are designed in a calm and composed style, but still in a formal way.
